DZA

DZA is a practice based in Athens, Greece.

Our interest lies in the interaction between human practices and the environment, and the way this knowledge can inform new architectural spaces and their construction. We believe in the capacity of architecture for change and the significant positive impact it can have in the organization of human life. We adhere to the view that there is no such thing as ‘pure nature’, only different degrees of historical symbiosis, and it is this holistic approach that guides our architectural thinking.

Projects completed include homes of different sizes, work spaces, leisure buildings, as well as landscaping projects and urban rehabilitation.

The practice has received two Awards. Best Hotel Design at the European Hotel Design Awards, Sleeper 2007 and 3rd prize at the Competition for Theatrou Square in central Athens in 2011.

Work has been published in Domes, Ktirio, Yatzer,
Conde Nast Traveller, Elle Decoration, Vogue and elsewhere.
