Keros Bay

It is easy to make claims about an island resort being built in the likeness of a cycladic village. But how to make such a proposal without resorting to the usual clichés? This proposal attempts to answer this design issue through “organic growth”.

Each house is situated both in relation to its immediate neighbors addressing issues of unobstructed views and privacy, but also in relation to the form of the whole. This is organised along the axis of a footpath, a “kalderimi” which connects private and public spaces of the hotel, but is also envisaged as a public space in its own right with points of interest, rest and views to the centerpiece of the hotel experience, the sacred Bay of Keros.
